Position Overview

The Project Controller will play a crucial role in the planning, monitoring, and controlling of projects within our organisation. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual with strong financial acumen and project management skills. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, finance teams, and various stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Monitor project financial performance and provide regular reports to project managers and leadership.
  • Analyse variances between budgeted and actual costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

2. Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines and budgets.

3. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Support project managers in decision-making through data-driven insights.

4. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure projects adhere to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and approvals.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with project activities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity in the Structural and Mechanical Piping Industry is preferred.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our client as soon as possible working on crushers, conveyors etc. These will be afternoon shifts Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday work.

  • Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Preferably holds a Working at Heights and/or Confined Space Ticket.  
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and generally strong IT skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ideally Tig, Mig Welding and Fabrication experience.
